PlayStation is shutting down Concord just two weeks after its launch.

on Tuesday afternoon that it will be taking the game offline on September 6. The company says it’s doing so to “explore options, including those that will better reach our players”.

“[W]hile many qualities of the experience resonated with players, we also recognize that other aspects of the game and our initial launch didn’t land the way we’d intended,” game director Ryan Ellis said.

Those who purchased the game will get a full refund while all future sales will be stopped immediately.

Concord launched on August 23 to little fanfare. It’s launch day saw less than 700 concurrent players on Steam, and the number continued to drop daily. Ahead of this announcement, the game was struggling to hit 100 concurrent players on the platform.

There is no information on what the game did player-wise on PlayStation 5. There were reports that the game sold around 25,000 copies. The actual number, however, is likely lower after early refunds are taken into consideration.
