9 Tips for Mastering Combat and Stealth in Star Wars Outlaws

Star Wars Outlaws has seen a massive change in pace from the usual games that Ubisoft develops. This is evident due to the numerous changes that it has made to improve stealth and combat within the gaming industry.

Usually, players tend to rely on either stealth or combat as individuals, but Star Wars Outlaws allows players to use both in a very effective way.

Please be aware that some of the tips below might hold minor spoilers regarding certain pieces of equipment, characters, and storylines within Star Wars Outlaws.

9. Use Nix to His Fullest Abilities

One of the best parts about Star Wars Outlaws is Kay Ness’ companion Nix. This little creature is unique in many ways, but one of his best attributes is the fact he can assist the player in dozens of ways.

Whether it is to use Nix to stun enemies, ******** alarms, or even ***** up a canister, there are plenty of uses for Nix to assist the player in both stealth and combat.

8. Utilize your Environment

When it comes to any game that uses stealth or gunplay, there are always environmental opportunities for players to use to increase their odds of survival, whether they be explosive barrels, waist-high walls to hide behind, vents to crawl through, or even vents spitting out smoke that somehow hide the player.

These environmental opportunities are in abundance within Star Wars Outlaws and can make stealth and combat a breeze as they allow players to take a different route towards their end goals, and can be effective at resolving mistakes that would usually end up ******** the player.

7. Whistling to Get an ******’s Attention

Strangely enough, the game doesn’t tell players about this relatively simple mechanic, but within Star Wars Outlaws, players are able to use a simple button prompt to whistle at enemies to get their attention by either holding right on the D-PAD or T on the keyboard.

This would mainly be used within a stealth operation as it can easily drag enemies out of their patrol zones and into a place of cover where a simple knock out can occur.

6. The Fast Talk Ability Could be a Lifesaver

Not long after unlocking the ability screen, players are able to start progressing towards an ability called Fast Talk. This ability may seem pointless at first glance, but it could save Kay’s life on numerous occasions.

Once a player has been seen by an ****** in a restricted zone, there is a small opportunity to use the Fast Talk ability, which causes Kay to stand up with her arms in the air with the intention to surrender.

However, during this *******, players can catch the ****** off-guard and take them out, and to make things better, once upgraded, this ability can even be used to draw in multiple guards at once, making it easier to take them out as a group.

5. Using the Stun Setting on the Blaster

Whether you are in combat or trying to stealth through a location, Kay has the ability to knock an ****** out at range.

This can be done by using the stun feature on Kay’s blaster to send a knockout blast towards an ******. Unfortunately, this ability does have its limits, as stronger enemies begin to ignore it, and certain areas are banning the use of a ****.

4. Pick Up Any ******* You Can Find

Kay Vess may be adept at using a simple blaster, but that doesn’t mean that she cannot use any other *******. During Star Wars Outlaws, players can find multiple weapons on the ground, whether they be dropped by an ****** or found on a ******* rack, and use them to wreak havoc.

Throughout the many worlds of Star Wars Outlaws, there are plenty of weapons to find, whether they are snipers, blaster rifles, grenade launchers, or even rocket launchers, each leading to some of the strongest damage that can be done to the enemies in Kay’s path.

3. Using Kay’s Inventory to its Maximum Potential

Kay already has plenty of resources at her disposal during the story of Star Wars Outlaws, but there are some that many players would likely leave to rot in her inventory.

Such as the thermal detonator and the smoke *****, which are two throwable weapons that can make life easier at the toughest of times.

Whether you need to take out a group of enemies in a fantastic ********** or to put yourself back in stealth at a moment’s notice, both of these pieces of equipment can be a godsend throughout Kay’s story.

Along with these items, Kay can also use a set of Binoculars, which can be used to scout out an area and even mark enemies permanently for an easy view rather than scanning constantly with Nix.

2. Hackers Get All the Fun Toys

One of Kay’s many skills is being able to hack into equipment throughout the game, and this can be used to the extreme as Kay is able to hack into ******* systems, security cameras, and even door controls.

By using this set of skills, players can provide themselves with some of the easiest routes into a base by stealthing through locked vents, shielded doors, and more, or by turning off the defense systems of a base and going in guns blazing.

1. Using Adrenaline Rush can be a Lifesaver

Even though there are plenty of mechanics within Star Wars Outlaws that can make the player’s lives easier, there is one that turns the player into a machine of war and that is the Adrenaline Rush ability.

To put it simply, the Adrenaline Rush ability is essentially an ultimate ability that players can charge up once in combat and, when used, can slow down time and lock onto specific targets, ultimately ******** them outright. As a bonus, this can even be used on the speeder to take out pursuing enemies.

Sadly, once players start to get further in the game, this does become slightly less effective, but that’s nothing a little upgrade can’t fix.
