Prison petition receives initial responses from Corrective Services, Industrial Relations Minister

More than 100 stress-related workers compensation claims were made by corrective service officers in just one year, according to figures supplied to a parliamentary inquiry.

According to the figures — revealed in a letter from Industrial Relations Minister Simone McGurk — 19.4 per cent of corrective services worker compensation claims were stress-related in 2022-23, an increase from 13.4 per cent just four years prior.
