Former Fremantle star Chris Mayne says he is ready to step into the world of coaching as he begins to eye up his next career move.

The retired forward — who had a 14-year career across the Dockers and Collingwood that included two grand finals — has been busy since relocating back to Perth with his young family after his stint with the Pies came to an end.
