A Perth mother who attempted to smuggle drugs into a US prison for the jailhouse lover she met online is due to learn her fate this month after recently admitting to the *******.

Leticia Barbara Verney was arrested in February after attempting to smuggle 200 fentanyl pills, 28g of *******, an ounce of methamphetamine, and 7g of ********** into Lewis Prison in Arizona.
