IN PICTURES: Big crowd witness 2024 Kleemann Medal count to celebrate Great Southern Football League season

A big crowd attended the Great Southern Football League’s night of nights as the 68th edition of the H.B. Kleemann Medal was held on August 26.

Players, coaches, officials and special guests from the Great Southern football community were among those in the room at Retravision Stadium as the GSFL recognised the best and fairest players for 2024.

Railways’ Ryley Valli claimed the coveted Kleemann Medal in runaway fashion, finishing 10 votes clear of his nearest rival.

The young midfielder also won two other major awards on the night and was named in the GSFL Team of the Year.

Jono’s son Henry was in attendance to present the award to midfielder Jayden Scott.

Brad Pope won the Charlie Punch Medal as the reserves fairest and best player while Davey Wignall was announced as umpire of the year.

There was also a presentation to the GSFL’s newest life members in Joe Burton and Terry Eaton, who have given years of service to football in the region.
