Glasgow is known for its lively nightlife, good shopping and ace galleries, but visitors are often surprised by its leafy side.

Its Gaelic name Glaschu is commonly translated to “dear green place” and there are almost 100 public parks and gardens within the city limits. And the good thing about some of them is that, come rain or shine, they’re fine places to visit, with enticing cultural attractions that’ll keep you dry/warm/cool (delete as appropriate).
