Michaelia Cash hits back at Government ******* ad over WA’s GST share as fellow ******** Senator contradicts

Senator Michaelia Cash has lashed a “laughable” new ******* ad by the Albanese Government claiming the Coalition threatens WA’s GST share, but has been simultaneously contradicted by a ******** colleague.

An online advertisement that went live on Sunday asserts that WA’s share of GST – underpinned by a 70¢ in the dollar floor – is under ******* from Mr Dutton and the Federal ******** Party.

It features key figures from the Abbott-Turnbull-Morrison era outlining Mr Dutton’s opposition to supporting WA’s GST deal when he was a Coalition minister.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who with his Cabinet is currently visiting the State, said on Saturday that Mr Dutton and his party needed “to come clean” on whether they supported “a fair share for WA”.

But Senator Cash labelled the claims deceptive, “ridiculous” and “so outrageous as to be laughable”.

“This is a truly desperate Prime Minister willing to say anything to curry favour with voters,’’ the shadow attorney-general said on Sunday.

“Peter Dutton was part of the Cabinet that designed and signed off on the deal, and he has made it very clear that a Coalition Government under his leadership will never change the GST deal for Western Australia.”

However, her ******** Senate colleague Andrew Bragg said the Coalition would consider cutting GST payouts to states and territories as punishment for not fulfilling their housing targets.

Appearing on ABC’s Insiders on Sunday, the opposition homeownership spokesman was asked whether the Coalition would dock GST distributions to states and territories that did not do the heavy lifting in increasing housing supply.

Senator Bragg replied the Opposition had yet to announce its supply policy, but said the punishments were “under consideration”.

“We need to be creative and find a way to hit the states hard where it hurts, otherwise I ***** we will drift into a situation where the housing problem will get worse before it gets better,” he said.
