Set during the era of the original Star Wars trilogy, the game seeks to expand the world with a canon storyline. Even though it’s a fun game for some, Star Wars Outlaws has met with a bit of mixed reception due to various bugs and gameplay issues. One such issue that’s mind-boggling is how such a game is still missing a feature that’s been around since the time of GTA: San Andreas. Star Wars Outlaws is Missing the Ability to Swim If land lets gamers explore in two directions, water adds a completely new dimension to exploration thanks to diving mechanics. Even though not every game in the market makes swimming a part of gameplay, it’s still a fun inclusion that’s been around for decades in video games and can help mix up mundane land traversal. However, developing swimming in video games is easier said than done, and most games don’t make it a priority. However, when triple AAA titles such as Star Wars Outlaws are released without swimming, it makes you wonder how such a big project skips something essential to the immersive experience it wants to provide. It’s a bummer that you can’t swim in Star Wars: Outlaws This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up — NikTek (@NikTekOfficial) This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up In a recent This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up , the game’s creative director, Julian Gerighty, revealed that his team at Massive initially had plans to include swimming in Star Wars Outlaws. However, this was cut out after the first few versions of their pitch due to various issues with animation in light of the game’s already huge scope. Let’s hope that with the upcoming updates, the studio will retouch this aspect of the gameplay along with other features and finally allow us to swim in the open waters of Star Wars Outlaws. Star Wars Outlaws Desperately Needs a New Game Plus Mode data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==Star Wars Outlaws could benefit from a New Game Plus mode. (Image via Ubisoft) It’s a known fact that New Game Plus modes have become pretty common in the RPG genre as they allow gamers to keep everything they’ve managed to acquire in previous playthroughs and bring it over to the next one. However, for some reason, Star Wars Outlaws lacks the New Game Plus option. A major chunk of Star Wars’s Outlaws gameplay revolves around gamers making crucial choices that end up affecting Kay’s reputation with multiple ****** syndicates. At a few points in the game, players will even be forced to support one faction or the other, with the result of a boosted reputation with the supported one and a decreased reputation with the other one. With the game’s focus on choice and repercussions, it makes sense for gamers to have the ability to experience the title once again with the help of a New Game Plus mode. This would allow them to keep all the things they’ve acquired previously and build a reputation with factions they didn’t decide to support. The reputation mode in Star Wars Outlaws truly makes a case for the game to get a New Game Plus Mode. Are you enjoying Star Wars Outlaws?
