Hackers Have Already Found a Way to Ruin the Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 Beta

The Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 Beta has finally started, but the moment is far from celebratory. Barely a day into release, things have already started going downhill.

What should’ve been a weekend filled with the joy of discovering all the new things there are to learn about the latest release, is being filled with frustration and Deja Vu (not in a good way) as people discover that hackers have already managed to infiltrate the game.

Call of Duty Hackers Are Faster Than Lightning

Hackers are a plague to online gaming, and Call of Duty fans are no strangers to them.

Despite Activision and Treyarch’s best efforts, it looks like they weren’t able to stop this virus from spreading to Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6, which hasn’t even gotten a proper start.

A clip posted by @DETONATEDcom to X/

shows the POV of a hacker using auto-aim and other cheats, mowing down people by finding them through walls.

As if rubbing salt in a wound, the owner of the video seems to be advertising a way to get cheaper codes for the ****** Ops 6 Beta.

There’s no stopping these bad-****** players who have somehow managed to take advantage of the new Call of Duty title before it even gets a proper release.

Through an official blog post, Activision previously clarified that the game would run with its RICOCHET Anti-cheat system from day one of the Beta. Also, COD Next recently took place, giving us a glimpse into the game itself.

Looking at reactions to this clip, people believe the anti-cheat software is either working terribly, or exactly as it did previously.

Players Are Tired of Having to Contend With Bad Apples

Hackers are never fun to play against, and it’s especially the case in shooters.

When your opponent can run faster than everyone, find you through walls, and headshot you and your team with 100% accuracy, there’s little to no motivation to continue playing.

A player mentions how they’re already coming across hackers like these at Level 4, and are glad they don’t have to purchase the Call of Duty title as it’s hitting Game Pass from Day One.

While a lot of the anger is directed toward the hackers themselves, Activision and Treyarch are also receiving a significant amount of flak for letting this happen.

There isn’t much trust in RICOCHET within the community, and players feel like mistakes are being repeated.

Some fans exclaim they’ll be avoiding crossplay with PC players by purchasing the game on a console.

While console hackers exist, many feel that the chances of running into one are lesser compared to PC.

We’d like to hear your thoughts on this issue. Do you think RICOCHET needs to go, or is there another solution to this ever-growing problem? Let us know in the comments below!
