While Itsuno did not provide a reason for his departure, he thanked fans for their long-term support of the games and characters he has been responsible for. He also claimed that he will be “developing a new game in a new environment” and that he hopes to “create fun, beautiful games that are as memorable as, or even more memorable” than the ones he has shepherded so far.
