For as long as I can remember, and I’m getting quite old, the Call of Duty series always includes a melee ******* mechanic for when you must close the distance. This year’s iteration proves no different, though some players find that pulling out the ****** for a melee ******* in ****** Ops 6 is rather cumbersome. It’s not immediately apparent, so we’re here to help!

How to Pull Out the ****** in ****** Ops 6

To pull out your ****** in ****** Ops 6, press and hold “V” on your keyboard or “R3/RS” on a controller using the default control scheme or “B/Circle” on the tactical control scheme. Every player in the game starts with a ******; it’s part of the basic loadout of every “class” in the game, and when you finally unlock the ability to equip a custom loadout, you’ll fill the melee slot with one of your unlocked melee weapons. It’s a requirement.

How to Quick ******* Melee

Alternatively, if you’d like to perform a quick melee ******* using your currently equipped *******, tap “V” on the keyboard or “R3/RS” on your controller. If you use the tactical control scheme, the quick melee button swaps to “B/Circle” on your controller.

This quick ******* is helpful in a pinch for when you’re running low on ammunition or completely out and don’t have time to reload before an encroaching ****** turns the corner. It’s also fun to challenge yourself to acquire a certain number of quick melee ****** in a round!

Melee Tips and Tricks

• If you intend to play a round with your dedicated melee ******* drawn, remain moving. If you slow down or come to a stop, there’s no chance of winning a ****** against a ****-toting opponent. They won’t hesitate to *****; there’s no honor in Call of Duty competitive lobbies!
• Don’t be afraid to practice and ruin your K/D!
• Keep your finger on the quick melee ******* to swipe at close-quarters enemies as they come around corners, sneaking up behind a foe, or dropping down from above!
