Deadlock Will Soon Introduce Wall Jumping Into the Game

Valve’s multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) hero shooter Deadlock is the talk of the internet right now. The game’s latest update introduces a new game-changing feature: wall jumping. This new mechanic will change vertical gameplay and a layer of strategy to the game.

Alongside wall jumping, the update also brings a metric ton of other changes that players can ***** into. Player reception has also been exceptionally positive. The game is on a roll and it’s exciting to see where it’ll go.

Deadlock Latest Update Is Getting People Even More Excited

The wall jump mechanic is straightforward but adds depth to Deadlock‘s combat system. Players can ******** a wall jump by pressing the direction key away from the wall while in mid-air, allowing them to evade attacks or reposition themselves quickly.

This mechanic cannot be chained together indefinitely, as players must land before performing another wall jump. The feature is especially beneficial for mobile characters who rely on agility and speed. It’s a great addition to a game that’s already received so much praise before it’s even playable for everyone.

The August 29 patch is a big update, not just because of the wall jump mechanic but also due to the numerous other adjustments it brings. The addition of climbable ropes on the map allows players to access rooftops more easily, replacing the previous bounce pads.

This changes the verticality of the game and gives players more strategic options during combat. The update also includes new items like Headhunter, which boosts bullet velocity, damage, and ******* shield, making it a must-have for players focused on headshots.

2024 Has Had So Many Banger Games And Deadlock Is One Of Them

Despite the positives though, some players think that adding new mechanics regularly could make the game too hard for a new player. However, a big part of the praise that the game has received includes just how complex and deep the game is.

While the gameplay changes are exciting, the update has also got fans talking about how exactly it was released. Valve chose to hide the patch notes in a separate forum that requires players to generate a password from within the game.

This led to confusion and frustration, with some players unable to see the full list of changes. It was especially chaotic since the website ended up facing outages with the amount of people looking for the patch notes.

Despite its early Alpha stage, Deadlock has already amassed a significant player base, with over 100,000 concurrent players logged on the day of the patch’s release.

It’s clear that Valve is dedicated to player satisfaction and to creating a game that innovates while doing that. As the invite-only testing phase continues, we can only wait and see how the company handles these issues.
