Teen worker punched with brass knuckles in Queens store: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — A shoplifter allegedly punched a teen worker in the face with brass knuckles while he and his two accomplices were being kicked out of a Queens store last month, police said Thursday.

The 18-year-old worker was attacked in a business at 88-01 Queens Blvd. at around 9 p.m. on July 25. The three suspects were being escorted out of the store when one of the robbers punched the teen in the face with brass knuckles, chipping his tooth, police said. The victim was not hospitalized.

The shoplifters made off with office equipment before fleeing the scene, police said. There have been no arrests.

The neighborhood is patrolled by officers from the 110th Precinct, where robberies and misdemeanor assaults have spiked this year compared to 2023, according to NYPD data.
