Renewable energy out-muscles nuclear in WA, Albanese Government claims

A nuclear reactor in Collie would deliver less than one-eighth of the power that renewable energy will supply the State, the Albanese Government has claimed.

Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen said the calculation was based on water constraints under the Coalition’s nuclear plan as well as the results of the first Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) tender.
