In terms of theme, the clue is right there in the name, as Triumph Together is all about separate teams of the game – Instinct, Valor, and Mystic, pushing trainers around the globe to complete tasks and unlock various rewards. The event also features various bonuses, and one of them can help you with a crazy amount of XL candies for your favorite Pokemon.

Pokemon Go Trainer Finds a New Way to Get Tons of XL Candy

The Pokemon Go Triumph Together event brings Global Challenges for all the teams in the game. Completing each of these Global Challenges rewards players with special Pokemon encounters and access to various event-themed boosts.

There’s no doubt that Team Mystic’s Global Challenge features one of the best rewards. Completing it will not only give players an encounter with a costume Lapras but also give them two Rare Candy XLs for evolving a Pokemon. This is one of the most crucial resources of the game, especially when you’re competing at higher levels and raids.

As pointed out by Redditor _kevlar_kid, this particular event bonus can help players obtain 800% more XL candy. Rather than relying on the standard conversion method to obtain Candy XLs, trainers should instead mass evolve tons of the Pokemon they’re looking to get candy for.

Since 100 standard candies can be changed into one Candy XL for a species, evolving a creature could give double the Candy XLs for just 25, 50 or 100 regular Pokemon Go candy.

With the Mystic bonus, the standard three-line evolutions can give trainers four Candy XLs for just 125 candies rather than spending 100 candies for just a single Candy XL. It’s truly an epic bonus that can help you save time grinding for the immense amount of Candy XLs to max out your mons!

Pokemon Go Trainers Are Getting Free Ultra Beasts

The mainline Pokemon games introduced Ultra Beasts nearly a decade ago with Pokemon Sun and Moon. In recent years, these beasts have also made their way into Pokemon Go, but the chances of obtaining them are tricky. With the Pokemon Go 2024 Fest reportedly ‘breaking‘ the game, players had an excellent opportunity to catch the powerful and rare mons, but things didn’t go as planned.

Although not as chaotic as previous Pokemon Go events, trainers were expecting a chance to catch Ultra Beasts with special backgrounds during the event. While many players were easily able to catch the mons’, the special background promised was missing for many during Day 1 of the event.

However, Niantic has finally fixed the issue. Pokemon Go players logging in can find they’ve received multiple Ultra Beasts and Necrozma encounters in their accounts. If you still haven’t checked these, you should look under the Events tab of the Research menu to see if you’ve received them.

According to Niantic’s promise and various trainer reports, users should receive encounters comparable to the number of raids they did during the Go Fest event.
