After a very poor launch the new Rocksteady title, ******** Squad: ***** the Justice League, confirmed that it will keep releasing content. The first season is already live, with The Joker as a new playable character. The new season introduces additional elements to the game, such as the ability to explore Elseworlds, which are parallel universes within DC Comics. 

According to some rumors and insiders, in season four of the game, Batman will be a playable character who comes from a medieval Elseworld. And Kevin Conroy apparently recorded dialog for the storyline before passing away in 2022.

The Dark Knight will be returning to the Rocksteady title.

As with all live-service games that have a poor launch, the key to survival is having a good player base to receive the content. 

Rocksteady Games seemingly prepared for the potential ******** of the title, when the company did not provide review codes to any media outlets before launch. Sales didn’t go well for the game, but Rocksteady has hope for the future.

According to X insider and journalist Miller Ross, several sources have confirmed that Batman will be back in the Rocksteady title. He stated that the Dark Knight will return in season 4 of the game, originating from a medieval Elseworld. An alternate version of The Flash and Green Lantern will also form a new Justice League with Argus, providing a comprehensive conclusion to the main story. This is all in an effort to sell more copies of the game. 

Another positive development for the game is that, according to a rumor, Kevin Conroy has recorded some post-game dialogues that will be included in future seasons.

Batman returns to Metropolis in ******** Squad’s upcoming 4th season, after being rescued from a medieval-themed Elseworld of supervillain Brainiac’s design, joining The Flash and Green Lantern as the Justice League continues to reform following the events of the game’s campaign.

Therefore, if Rocksteady manages to rectify the situation soon, fans may return to Metropolis to play as the title team once more. WB Games wants to recover the investment in the next few years, as one can imagine this was a very expensive game to make.

Wonder Woman is the next DC Comics title from WB Games.

The only way to revive a live-service game that launches with so many issues is to create non-stop content until the player base grows to the point where the game can maintain itself.

This will be very hard for this game, even with characters like Batman. It is not enough to wash out the bad press that this title had in the last few years before its launch. And, a distaste for poorly constructed live-service titles continues to impact players’ opinions. 

The next project from DC Comics and WB Games is a single-player game about Wonder Woman. Monolith, the studio behind Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, is developing this title. It will be in a similar vein to **** of War, according to rumors. This title was first announced in 2021, since then, WB Games has not given any new details about this superhero project. In terms of gaming, DC Comics needs a win.
