It Has Been 10 Years Since the Last Infamous Game and Fans Want ******* Punch To Give Us Another Along With Ghost of Tsushima 2

Infamous First Light was released a decade ago on the PlayStation 4 and it still holds up well against modern triple-A games and stood the test of time. It was initially conceived as an expansion to Second Son. The gaming community got to spend time with Fetch this time around and her abilities scratched the surface of the PlayStation 4 console.

The gaming community highly values the iconic gaming franchise and would not mind seeing another entry sometime soon. However, after the recent success of the game developers’ latest IP, there is a low likelihood of it ever happening.

inFamous 2 is the second title in the franchise and was ranked 6th in best superhero games of all time list.

inFamous secured tenth spot in the best superhero video games of all time list.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has always strongly focused on compelling first-party titles to bolster the library and allowed these projects to carry the PlayStation brand for generations.

Despite the tremendous success of its latest project, the gaming community still implores the developers of ******* Punch Productions to return to the Infamous franchise recalling the great times they had on the PlayStation 3.

The game developers released a handful of games in the past and some fans wanted more from it. The studio showed no signs of returning, especially with their plate being full from all the hype and anticipation of the highly anticipated but never officially announced Ghost of Tsushima sequel.

One of the first games I played when I finally got my PS4. For a 10 year old game it holds up incredibly well.

The sense of speed with Fetch’s Neon power made traversal so much fun.

Hope we see this franchise return someday.

The game ran beautifully on the base PlayStation 4 and looked even better with all the new bells and whistles of the PlayStation 5 through backward compatibility. ******* Punch Productions moved on from the franchise toward something far more grounded and ambitious, which is why it took them through an entire console generation to release two games.

The studio has the rare and distinct honor of opening the PlayStation 4 with an exclusive title and closing it with an original project that blew everyone away. It would be a no-brainer move if Sony were to deny the developers a second chance to expand the franchise by taking advantage of the impressive horsepower of the PlayStation 5 and striking while the iron is hot.

Perhaps Sony believed the franchise had outstayed its welcome and it was time to move on to something fresh and more appealing to the modern audience. The game developers were working on a different project before they focused on Ghost of Tsushima, and some fans would prefer to see that too.

It wouldn’t hurt to give the gaming community more options to play. Not everyone is interested in Jin Sakai’s story of reclaiming his homeland from foreign invaders and would prefer some science fiction gameplay and set pieces instead.

Sony may prefer to steer away from the past and focus on establishing newer franchises instead of relying on older ones with a factor of nostalgia. Perhaps the company is worried the studio will exclusively work on one franchise which is not ideal in an ever-changing industry.

First Light was merely a fraction of what the developers could do with enough time and budget. Fans can bet the studio’s next project will be glorious and pure eye candy.
