The game developers emphasized heavily on ******** mythology, and players were quick to draw comparisons with other iconic gaming franchises and their influences.

The game’s combat system has striking similarities with the intense combat of the Soulsborne franchise, and some players were bold enough to claim that this game will be much better than Elden Ring and will overthrow the game’s long reign. Early reactions are extremely positive and Game Science took its time and studied other aspects of successful single-player games.

The massive scale enamored players and reminded them of the good old days of playing the recent **** of War games. The Norse Saga was a step in the right direction to revitalize a much older franchise featuring different gods and mythologies.

Santa Monica Studio did a fantastic job of taking the source material and making a few necessary adjustments to cater to the story they are telling. The developers of Game Science were inspired by the one-shot camera technique that smoothly blends in a cinematic after-gameplay and a seamless transition and vice versa for a much more immersive gaming experience.

The Recent **** of War Games Have Set the Bar High for Games Based on Mythology

The featured clip above showcased a giant turtle creature in the background, similar to how the World Serpent lingers in the Lake of Nine in **** of War. The Destined One can be seen with an ally standing in front of a giant turtle creature, and the resemblance is uncanny.

Fans are convinced that this game is more akin to the **** of War franchise than the Soulslike genre and hope director Hidetaka Miyazaki will not borrow the unique boss feature introduced by Game Science in future projects. The genre is renowned for the difficult and intense combat, something Santa Monica Studio is far more forgiving.

It is rare for game developers to feature culture and mythology. Game Science single-handedly carried ******** culture in a video game. Perhaps the Destined One and Kratos will get along famously. Mythology enthusiasts will have the time of their lives.
