Evans upsets Russian seed in longest ever US Open match

Britain’s Dan Evans has beaten Russian Karen Khachanov in the longest ever US Open match of the professional era.

Evans fought his way to a 6-7 (6-8) 7-6 (7-2) 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 6-4 to move into the second round after an extraordinary fightback from four games down in the final set.
