Crypt Custodian, all you have is your trusty, dusty broom. As you progress, you unlock new powerful attacks and Upgrades to make your journey less perilous.

Upgrades and Special Attacks are similar in several ways: They need to be equipped at a shrine, they’re found throughout the underworld, and they let you customize your playstyle to become stronger. But that’s where the similarities end. Special Attacks need to be activated, while Upgrades are passive effects that boast a variety of bonuses, like increases to your health or movement speed. Unlike Special Attacks, Upgrades cost Upgrade Points, which you can collect around the world, but you can have as many Upgrades as your total points will allow.
