It is a testament to the influence of single-player games and sends a clear message that this gaming structure is here to stay for the long haul. Other players have accepted the surge of online live service games where players are forced to ****** fellow players for supremacy. These projects can inflate a player’s ego and encourage them that this is the only way to play and gain satisfaction, here are 5 single-player games to prove otherwise. 5. Elden Ring data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==The gaming community was blown away with the latest Soulslike title. Image Credit: Bandai Namco FromSoftware has single-handedly pioneered the Soulslike genre and nurtured a generation of players to strive for self-improvement through trials and hardships. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki struggled to play Elden Ring, his creation to give the community a satisfying expansion and assess which areas could use some polishing. While there is an online multiplayer feature, players usually play alone like most of the Soulslike franchise. Miyazaki wanted the player base to struggle and work hard to defeat the powerful enemies in his games and to reward the players with a compelling narrative through his fragmented storytelling and the feeling of beating a powerful foe. 4. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==The gaming community gets to explore Hyrule in greater detail. Image Credit: Nintendo The Legend of Zelda franchise has been around for quite some time and has become a part of every gamer’s youth. Emma Corrin revealed they spent a good chunk of their free time playing Zelda while working on major motion pictures which is a testament to the franchise’s influence. Tears of the Kingdom was released a year ago on the Nintendo Switch and was a worthy successor to Breath of the Wild. Nintendo brought back all the best parts of the first game and dialed everything to an eleven by introducing new skills and powers paired with a simple plot with rewarding character moments. 3. The Last of Us data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==Joel became an instant PlayStation Hall of Famer. Image Credit: Naughty Dog It may seem like a generic zombie apocalypse story from the outside, but there is so much more than meets the eye. Naughty Dog crafted the perfect combat and scavenging game mechanic that could work well in a multiplayer environment, something Sony should have considered before canning The Last of Us Online, a highly anticipated game with the framework established, and instead of Concord, a risky original project that is not doing well. The first game had a simple plot about Joel, a hardened survivor escorting Ellie in a world torn by the Cordyceps virus. Players were moved by the motives of each character and what they stood for, especially once director Neil Druckmann delved deeper into Joel’s humanity as a father and his love made him more relatable once he made up his mind to save his world at the cost of a second chance to restore order. 2. **** of War data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==Kratos was given a second chance of being a father in the Norse Saga. Image Credit: Santa Monica Studio The gaming community was caught off guard when Kratos moved on with his life after his ******* past in a foreign land. Atreus was his path to redemption, not just after losing Calliope, but to shape him to become a better **** than he ever was and he did everything he could to win his affection like cutting his face to feel more like Kratos. The 2018 game served as a soft reboot for the franchise and a continuation after the destruction of Greece. Kratos encountered new gods in his journey to fulfill Faye’s dying wish but was caught in the middle of an ancient feud and the family drama of the Aesir Gods. Throughout their journey, Kratos learned to open his heart and let his son in while Atreus saw the opportunity to do great things with his godlike powers. 1. Red ***** Redemption 2 data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///ywAAAAAAQABAAACAUwAOw==Fans were blown away by the impressive attention to detail in the Red ***** Redemption prequel. Image Credit: Rockstar Games Rockstar Games did not hold back with this Western project after achieving an impressive milestone with the first game paired with the massive leaps made with the graphics, visuals, and physics of Grand Theft Auto 5. The gaming community has nothing but praise for the game and believes this game deserves a next-gen patch with a 60FPS boost and taking full advantage of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The campaign had a slow start and things escalated quickly as the gang looked for different ways to make money the only way they knew how: robbing banks, trains, and innocent townsfolk. Arthur Morgan never claimed to be a saint or a good man but circumstances made him reevaluate his life during his final days forcing him to draw his lines about his morals that moved the gaming community to tears.
