According to a new job listing, Neowiz, developer of the ***** of P sequel, is seeking ‘open-world experience’ for the upcoming title.

for the ***** of P sequel. In the Preferred Qualifications section of the listing, the developers have asked for “extensive experience playing open-world games”. The list’s’ Key Points’ also states that “action creation, tool development, mini-game development and open-world experience” will be preferred. 

***** of P is a soul-like title that made a name for itself in 2023. The game was created on Unreal Engine 4, and the developers have announced a move to Unreal Engine 5 for the sequel. Moreover, the original game followed a linear path, with occasional exploration here and there. Moving from that format to an open-world experience could be an ambitious move for the studio; however, we will have to wait for an official announcement to know for sure.

“***** of P” follows the story of Geppetto’s puppet, Pinocchio, who awakens in the Belle Époque era. The streets flow with human blood as the once-thriving puppet industry goes rogue. As Pinocchio, you must develop a unique combat style and use your Legion Arm to defeat dangerous enemies. At times, you may also need to lie to progress further. If you’re looking for a dark, grim, and challenging retelling of Pinocchio, then this is the game for you.
