Thousands attend Broome Cup to celebrate last event of the Broome racing season

Thousands of punters flocked to Broome on Saturday for the premier racing event in the Kimberley — the Broome Cup.

The final race of the season drew a lively crowd, with the who’s who of Broome letting their hair down in style. Despite the sweltering 28C heat, attendees donned their finest, with bright colours dominating the fashion scene.

The festive atmosphere extended well into the night, as celebrations carried on after the races.

While there was a noticeable police presence, their services were not required, as racegoers enjoyed the event with exemplary behaviour.

The Broome Cup once again proved to be a highlight of the social calendar, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the town and its love for racing.
