The Golden Arches reportedly plans to launch the new item at locations in the U.S., a detail that fans who have bemoaned the release of exciting treats abroad are likely to find extremely promising.

So what exactly is stirring up all of the fan enthusiasm? According to Snackolator, it’s called the Big Arch.

Insiders at McDonald’s believe the new burger “could be as iconic as the Big Mac,” the food blogger noted in a Saturday, Aug. 24, post

. Customers in three markets, including Canada and Portugal, are currently testing the Big Arch, with McDonald’s planning “to see how the test goes in the three countries and then potentially rollout to the US and others,” Snackolator explained.

The Big Arch is reportedly larger than the traditional Big Mac and features two beef patties, three squares of white cheddar cheese, a “tangy” sauce and onions served “both fresh and crispy.” All of the ingredients are sandwiched between a brioche bun.

With the Big Arch still in its testing phase, it’s unknown exactly when the planned U.S. rollout will begin. However, many who left comments on Snackolator’s preview seemed eager to taste-test the burger once it is available.

“Oooooo looking forward to it,” one fan wrote as another declared, “I will eat that!”

“I would definitely be on board with this

Despite the excitement, some customers doubted that there would ever be a menu item as iconic as the Big Mac.

“Big Mac was still better,” one person wrote.

“Had it in Portugal,” a customer shared, adding that they still “Prefer the Big Mac 🙌.”
