) — Four people have been rescued after a boat reportedly capsized near the Causeway Bridge on Saturday, Aug. 24.

According to the Jefferson Parish ***** Department, around 2:30 p.m., members of the JPFD were dispatched to a boat rescue of the four individuals, only two of whom were wearing life jackets.

The JPFD received help from a “good Samaritan” boat owner that took three of the firefighters out to where the accident occurred. All four boaters were rescued.
