Fremantle fans were locked to their phones in the moments before the club’s clash with Port Adelaide, watching a game on the other side of the country.

The Dockers’ finals hopes are still alive because St Kilda defeated Carlton in a thrilling clash at Marvel Stadium, which finished almost exactly 10 minutes before their Optus Stadium clash with the Power.

Saints forward Jack Higgins kicked a remarkable snap to regain the lead with just 12 seconds to go in their clash with the Blues.

The game was not shown on the Optus Stadium big screens, but Dockers fans let out a mighty roar when a desperate defensive effort from the final stoppage sealed a Saints win.
