Sydney stabbing spree: Police officer among several people stabbed in Engadine

A major police operation is underway after four people, including a police officer, were injured after a ****** and suspected stabbing in Sydney’s south.

A two-vehicle ****** unfolded at the intersection of the Princes Highway and Old Bush Road at Engadine just after 9am on Sunday.

Police arrived to find a man, who appeared to be suffering stab wounds, allegedly running from the ****** scene.

Paramedics are understood to be treating up to five people, with one person reportedly going into cardiac arrest.

Reports to Ambulance NSW note there was one patient “with multiple stab wounds”, while another has a stab wound to their abdomen, and another has a broken arm.

The police officer is understood to have been slashed on their arm, suffering 30mm lacerations to their lower wrist.

A critical patient, a 40-year-old woman, was taken from the scene to St George Hospital for multiple stab wounds.

In total, four people have been taken to hospital.
