Fans Are Demanding a PlayStation Showcase To Make Up For the ******** of Concord

The latest PlayStation launch, Concord, the 5v5 hero shooter from Firewalk Studios has been a ********. The game was launched on August 23, 2024, and has not even seen thousand players playing at the same time.

Live-service games are always a risk, but fans did not expect the game to fail before it was even out properly. They are unhappy with this disappointing title and are now looking forward to a PlayStation Showcase to make up for this.

Only PlayStation Showcase Can Make Up for the Concord Disaster

Concord was always a gamble for Sony as fans believed that there are a lot of hero shooters in the live-service genre and it wouldn’t survive. Players who played the game’s beta alleged that it does not bring anything new to the genre and it is same as any other free to play hero shooter out there.

PlayStation fans are now convinced that Sony needs to make up for this ******** and think that only a showcase is the way to go.

One fan said that the company has embarrassed itself like never before and if it has learnt something from this.

They added that Sony should do a PlayStation Showcase and it should come soon. Here’s what they stated,

From a fan stand point, it feels like they should do one sooner rather than later. As long as they are ready of course.

Sony did a State of Play in May this year and revealed what’s in store for players. But fans have been clamoring for a Showcase and after the ******** of Concord and reveals at Xbox Showcase and Gamescom, they think that it is about time an announcement is made for the PlayStation Showcase.

There Are Rumors a Showcase Is Coming Soon

The last PlayStation Showcase was held in 2023, and it is about time another one took place. However, despite several leaks and rumors, Sony hasn’t said anything about a showcase this year, but it seems like it is only a matter of time before fans are greeted with a day and date.

There have been rumors that the next showcase could be announced next month, September 2024. According to a leaker’s sources who have been right before too, the announcement for the showcase could come in the week of September 5th and September 12th.

Although this is unreliable, fans will take anything at the moment as their is no other information on a showcase right now. The Tokyo Game Show 2024 is scheduled to take place next month too and PlayStation will be exhibiting so it is possible that the showcase date may be revealed then.
