Former chef on his battle with addiction and prescription medication

A former chef who used drugs for seven years to cope with the high-pressure environment of working in a professional kitchen said he felt like a zombie when he was put on prescription medication to overcome his addiction.

Now a ***** and alcohol counsellor Dale Cranswick said he used drugs for the best part of a decade before he went to rehab, where he was fed prescription medication that left him feeling numb so he stopped using them.
