They need to shift to destiny 3. Apparently it hasn’t been greenlit over concerns the destiny average player is too old (about 28) this is mins boggling to me. Ofc they are. The game is almost 8 years old. Younger players aren’t going to jump into a game with 8 years of history- generally speaking, there’s other games out they might start playing destiny 3 and stick with it though. Equally older players likely have less time for games but more money to spend so if they are captured by your ecosystem and game – surely that is a good thing.
