Spodumene concentrate prices plummet below $US800 per tonne

There’s no relief in sight for Western Australia’s struggling lithium producers as tumbling prices continue to show no signs of hitting a floor.

The prevailing price of six per cent graded spodumene concentrate — the benchmark of WA lithium ore — hit $US780 per tonne on Wednesday morning, according to Shanghai Metals Market data.
