Peanut butter ******** whisked off shelves for urgent allergen recall

A peanut butter ******** sold at a major retailers in Australia has been pulled from shelves as the manufacturers forgot to list a common allergen on the label.

The food standards board issued a recall on all batches of 750ml and 50ml Skrewball Peanut Butter ******** Flavoured Liqueur this week.

Anyone can return their bottle to the store where they purchased it for a full refund.

The offending substance left off the labels is sesame.

Sydney-based Pernod Ricard Winemakers – a subsidiary of French wine and spirits behemoth – is conducting the recall, Food Standards Australia and New Zealand says in the alert notice.

The 50ml and 750ml bottles products have been for ***** across the country including at Dan Murphy’s, BWS, independent ******* retailers including IGA, and on-premise outlets.

The presence of sesame in the ******* is not mistakenly stated on the bottle.

Studies say about one in every 250 *********** children has a sesame allergy. However among all *********** adults with any food allergies, about eight per cent have a sesame allergy.

Owners of the peanut butter flavoured ******** in question, Skrewball Spirits, are based in New York.
