Work-near-home the latest trend following massive boost in demand for suburban offices, with Y Research showing a massive jump in demand for suburban offices in Perth.

Vacancies in Perth’s suburban office market have nearly halved since the pre-COVID era as the work-near-home trend takes off in Perth, according to one of the State’s leading property analysts.

Damian Stone, who runs Y Research, said while the pandemic had started the work-from-home trend, it had now segued into a work-near-home trend as greater numbers opted for the convenience of living local.
