From The Sidemen To Rockstar, Thanks To The Sunday Times Gaming Rich List We Now Know Who the 30 Richest Players and Developers Are In the ***

The gaming industry in the *** has massively flourished over the years, in large part thanks to Rockstar Games’ founders. The Sunday Times has released its first-ever Gaming Rich List for 2024, highlighting the top 30 wealthiest figures in this industry.

From mobile game creators to

personalities, the list reveals the financial success of those who have managed to turn their passion for gaming into substantial fortunes.

are the Russian-born Bukhman brothers, Igor and Dmitry, who co-founded Playrix. Their mobile gaming studio has become a powerhouse in the industry, known for its wildly successful games like Gardenscapes and Township.

These games have mastered the art of blending match-three puzzles with other popular genres, like gardening simulations and city-building, making them addictive to millions of players worldwide, and making them worth more than £12 billion.

While the Bukhman brothers are far ahead, they aren’t the only ones making serious money in the *** gaming scene.

Sean Murray, the co-founder of Hello Games, is another notable name on the list, with an estimated fortune of £94 million. His studio is best known for No Man’s Sky, a game that had a rocky start but has since become a massive success.

The list doesn’t just celebrate developers but also includes key figures from other areas of gaming. One notable inclusion is Herman Narula, the co-founder and CEO of Improbable, a London-based company that’s pushing the boundaries of the metaverse in gaming.

Rockstar Founders Are Also Massively Successful

Another major highlight of the list is the inclusion of Sam and Dan Houser, the masterminds behind Rockstar Games. With an estimated wealth of £350 million, the Houser brothers have made a significant impact on the gaming industry with their work on the Grand Theft Auto and Red ***** Redemption series, among other titles.

Sam Houser continues to lead the company as its president, playing a big role in the direction of the company and the development of its games, including the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.

Meanwhile, Dan Houser, who was a key creative force at the studio in the past, departed the company in 2020 after taking a break in 2019.

The Houser brothers’ work and revenue on the Grand Theft series, especially GTA5, has made the developer one of the most profitable entertainment companies globally, with game sales consistently outgrossing even the biggest Hollywood blockbusters, earning billions of dollars.

Content creators have also secured spots on the list. KSI and The Sidemen, popular for their

videos and merchandise, share the 21st spot with a combined wealth of £50 million.

The Sunday Times Gaming Rich List for 2024 paints a clear picture of the gaming industry when it comes to wealth generation. Whether it’s through developing popular mobile and console games or creating content that is watched by millions, the individuals on this list have all found ways to turn their love for gaming into massive sources of revenue.
