GTA 5 Profited Whilst Red ***** Redemption 2 Suffered Thanks to Rockstar Games Ignoring the Fans

The gaming community has spent the last decade playing GTA 5 on three different console generations. The game was arguably the biggest, most detailed open-world project at the time, and the game’s developers have improved plenty since then, giving it a next-generation bump for players to experience yet again.

started this console generation strong with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, respectively. It was the perfect opportunity to remaster older video games and for game developers to fully achieve their creative vision without being held back by the previous generation’s hardware.

There Is One Other Game That Earned a Next-Gen Upgrade Like GTA 5

The Grand Theft Auto franchise has grown incredibly fast over the past few years and fans are eager to see where the game developers will go in the next major sequel. Fans were hooked and excited to see Rockstar Games follow up on its plans of a story expansion for GTA 5; unfortunately, they were fed with a false promise with no signs of progression after a decade.

The multiplayer mode was successful and the developers decided to discard all plans for the single-player campaign and focus on the much more ambitious GTA Online feature. That did not stop the them from giving the game a next-generation improvement; however, fans believe one other game deserves the same treatment.

For many others, Red ***** Redemption 2 was a far superior game to the last GTA project. It was released 5 years later near the tail end of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One life cycle, and it gave the developers enough time to make the most of the hardware and technology available.

Perhaps Rockstar Games did not bother remastering the game and giving it a boost given the high quality and level of fidelity that can be utilized with the backward compatibility of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Nevertheless, these machines can output a steady 60 FPS GTA 5 and PC players feel sorry for those who couldn’t get the best experience.

PC Players Think a 60 FPS Red ***** Redemption 2 Would Make a Massive Difference

Fans had a great time with the Western game and witnessed the massive leaps made by the developers. The game is full of life, where players can explore different corners of the map and see bizarre and jaw-dropping sceneries through the lens of Arthur Morgan.

It is not too late for Rockstar Games to offer a free upgrade native to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S that is on par with the visuals on a modest gaming PC.

Red ***** Redemption 2 would not be the game it is today if the studio had not learned from experience. Each game is a stepping stone towards the developer’s next goal.

The game looks great and certain parts were left on the cutting room floor shown in great detail. Hopefully, the studio will see the potential of a next-gen boost.
