HitWA Carnival of Nations celebrates Broome’s Cultural Diversity

Male Oval was transformed into a rich tapestry of picnic rugs as the Broome community revelled in a captivating array of cultural performances at the HitWA Carnival of Nations on Sunday.

The stellar line-up reflected Broome’s multicultural population, featuring Kimberley cultural tour guide and Indigenous musician Robert Dann, contemporary dance performers led by former Bangarra dancer Tara Gower, a ********* fan dance by Luna, a traditional Indonesian dance performance, an Irish dance troupe, a Fijian performance, traditional dance from Vanuatu and Timor L’Este, and the Wasamba drummers, and samba dancers.
