Larry Emdur gets a tattoo live on TV after his Gold Logie win

Gold Logie winner Larry Emdur has made good on his promise to tattoo his backside with the initials of this year’s nominees, after taking home the top gong at Sunday’s ceremony.

he would get the tattoo: “I’m so confident I won’t win, I’ll happily get all the nominees’ name initials tattooed on my a*** on the show (The Morning Show) on Monday (if I do take home the award).”

Emdur was up against Tony Armstrong, Andy Lee, Sonia Kruger, Robert Irwin, Julia Morris, and Asher Keddie for the highly coveted award this year — and beat them all out.

Emdur was a big winner of the night, taking home Australia’s most popular TV presenter, the Bert Newton Award, along with the Gold Logie at the star-studded ceremony.

On Monday, Emdur followed through with the outrageous promise, lazing on a massage bench.

“Kylie, I can’t see what’s happening,” Larry said.

“Is this what it is like being in those rooms in Border Security.”

The design included a Logie with the plaque having the initials of the nominees.

“Is it helping that I’m trying to flex? Larry asked the Bondi Ink tattooist.

During an interview on Sunrise earlier that morning, Emdur told Nat and Shirvo it was the “dumbest promise he was ever made” after his win.

He confirmed he would go through with his promise.

Reflecting on his Gold Logie speech, Larry said it was a “surreal” moment.

“I knew I needed to thank my work family and my family family — I knew I wanted to thank the other nominees,” Emdur said.

“It was so surreal. I was standing up there just looking down at all these famous people. I was thinking it was really a moment.

“I was so humbled, thrilled and honoured … you just go wow, all of TV is in this room. Everything I worked for and everything I wanted to be part of.”

Emdur mentioned the tattoo promise during his Gold Logie acceptance speech on Sunday night.

“I just remembered I did say if I won this, I’d get all the nominees’ initials tattooed on my a**e live tomorrow morning,” Emdur said, amid roaring laughter.

“Sorry, Sylvie (Larry’s wife), I know we had some fancy hotel planned but looks like I’ll be doing squats all night!”
