Red-faced Libs make fresh plea for nomination extension

A stoush between the NSW Liberals and the state electoral commission over a missed nomination deadline has escalated, with the party threatening legal action and labelling it a threat to democracy.

The Liberals were left red-faced after failing to submit up to 151 nomination forms for local elections before the deadline.
