Fremantle Port strike: Key workers start 48-stoppage over demands for 18 per cent pay rise

Industrial action that will force the closure of Fremantle Port for 48 hours is set to begin today with key workers walking off the job over demands for an 18 per cent pay rise over three years.

Pilot transport workers and traffic operators who assist in guiding ships and ferrying pilots to and from their vessels want Fremantle brought into line with other regional WA port pay rates.
