Student police officer charged after alleged DV incident in Asquith

A student cop has lost his offer to begin training with the NSW Police following an alleged domestic ********* incident in Sydney’s north on Friday.

The alleged incident happened about 6pm in Asquith, about 40km from the CBD.

“Police were called to a premises at Asquith, following reports of an alleged domestic ********* incident,” NSW Police said on Saturday.

“Following inquiries, a 28-year-old man was charged with common ******** and ******** occasioning actual bodily harm.

“Police will allege in court the man prevented a woman from leaving a property and slammed a door on her hand.”

The man is now on bail and will appear again at Hornsby Local Court on September 3.

The man’s offer to commence training with NSW Police has been revoked, the police added.
