Call of Duty FINALLY Gets a Much-Needed Update That’ll Stop Some Frustrations

Fans are excited for ****** Ops 6 and everything that Activision and Treyarch have revealed so far. The game could very well bring back the franchise to its glory. There are several innovative mechanics that the game will bring for the first time ever.

Activision Blizzard has now announced that it is making some improvements to the experience. As a part of this, a much-needed change is coming to the franchise, starting with ****** Ops 6, which is scheduled to launch on October 25, 2024.

Activision Is Finally Getting Something Right With ****** Ops 6

The launch of COD HQ has been a controversial topic among the community, and the user interface and COD menu have been the main reasons for fan complaints. It seems like Activision has finally given in and is bringing a change to the UI of the HQ.

As per the official

, Activision has several updates planned to improve the Call of Duty experience. It has been revealed that there will be a new user interface dropping in mid-October, with games having their own unique UI, which will hopefully make HQ better for players.

reads, “Starting with ****** Ops 6, games will have their own individual user interfaces designed to easily get players into the modes and content they want to play.” The developer has said that an exact date for the new UI will be revealed in the weeks ahead.

This UI change will include improved menu and navigation in the Call of Duty HQ as well as in-game for different content and modes. The new UI will bring a landing page with top content featured on a single clean page, and there will be no need to scroll. It will solely focus on games, giving direct access.

There will also be other sets of updates with new upgrades. The game file reorganization will separate Warzone from the annual game releases. It will be a part of the Season 5 Reloaded update on August 21, 2024, helping players decide which files they want and download Warzone separately.

Moreover, the game will use texture streaming to reduce the download size with Season 5 Reloaded. However, this may also affect some games’ quality, but it will improve over time. There are also options to customize the experience with optimized (Default) and minimal quality settings.

The developer has also confirmed that these optimization updates will result in ****** Ops 6 being a smaller download at launch in comparison to Modern Warfare 3. But it did not reveal the exact file download size yet, but fans are optimistic that it will be much smaller than the previous title.

What are your thoughts about these planned changes? Let us know in the comments!
