Wallam Watch: Harvey-raised star issues first statement since shock departure from Queensland Firebirds

Donnell Wallam has made her first public statement since a shock exit from Queensland Firebirds, with the Harvey-raised star saying she was looking forward to “new challenges”.

Wallam was the second-leading goal-scorer in the Super Netball competition but the Brisbane-based side, which finished seventh on the eight-team ladder last season after a tumultuous year, opted not to offer her a new contract due to “game style and strategy” reasons.
