Police asking public to avoid area in central Lubbock due to ongoing SWAT operation

The public is asked to avoid an area in central Lubbock due to an ongoing SWAT operation.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, SWAT was called to the 1500 block of 46th Street at 3:45 p.m.

LPD confirmed that SWAT is still on the scene. As of 9 p.m. on Thursday, no other information had been released.
