An early render of the SuiPlay0X1. | Image: Mysten Labs Last month, I told you how a new startup is trying to build an Android of PC gaming by picking up where the Steam Deck left off. It’s an intriguing idea from a company with an awful lot to prove. [/url] Today, we’re getting the first announcement of the first Playtron-powered handheld, the SuiPlay0X1... but it’s probably not the proof we need? I laughed when I saw GamingOnLinux’s headline: “The first handheld to use PlaytronOS is some Web3 thing.” BREAKING: announcement from onstage at #SuiBasecamp: we’re excited to share the first handheld gaming device with native Web3 capabilities – the SuiPlay0X1, powered by @PLAYTR0N! If you don't specifically need the massive sequential speeds of the latest PCIe 4.0 and 5.0 SSDs, PCIe 3.0 SSDs such as the WD Blue SN570 generally offer all the speed you need for much less money. This budget SSD builds upon its predecessor, the SN550, with much faster speeds, but thankfully has an equally generous price. The Blue SN570 is already on our best gaming SSD guide as the best cheap SSD. While its price may be cheap, though, you don't sacrifice too much by opting for this SSD over many more expensive drives. It's nearly as quick as the fastest PCIe 3.0 SSDs we've tested. When we first saw Dinolords back in October last year, it was hard not to be seduced by the premise: as a medieval English lord, you must defend your lands from Viking invasion, and also there are tameable dinosaurs. Now there's a new trailer offering a much more substantial look at the prehistoric action, thanks to the Triple-I Initiative showcase, and from the moment an armoured T-Rex crashes through a castle wall, you know you're in for a good time... Palworld developer Pocketpair has shown off the upcoming PvP mode for Pals set to hit the game at some point in 2024. Announced during the Triple-i Initiative, Pal Arena lets players battle against other players by pitting both themselves and their Pals against them. The idea is you train the strongest pals and defeat all your rivals. Pocketpair released a teaser trailer, below, showing off Pal Arena. It is likely to draw even more comparisons between Palworld and Pokémon, given the similarities to the latter’s famous arena-based gym battles. Palworld launched in January and overnight became one of the biggest games in the world, setting records not only on Steam but on Xbox Game Pass, where it is the biggest third-party game launch ever. So far, the $30 ‘Pokémon with guns’ game has seen an incredible 25 million players, with 15 million copies sold on Steam and 10 million players on Xbox. Pocketpair boss Takuro Mizobe has said the company couldn’t handle the massive profits Palworld has generated. While Palworld is one of the biggest game launches ever, it’s also one of the most controversial. Pocketpair has said its staff has received ****** threats amid Pokémon "rip-off" claims, which it has denied. Soon after launch, Nintendo moved quickly to remove an eye-catching Pokémon mod, then The Pokemon Company issued a statement, saying: "We intend to investigate and take appropriate measures to address any acts that infringe on intellectual property rights related to Pokémon." IGN asked lawyers whether Nintendo could successfully sue. If you're playing, be sure to check out IGN's interactive Palworld map. Wesley is the *** News Editor for IGN. Warzone is filled with things to do aside from ******** each other. From the many contracts you pick, the added element keeps things fresh. Cod Warzone: How to activate the boat ***** near the factory in Rebirth IslandTo activate the ***** is pretty easy, however, you may walk by it because the prompt is kind of sensitive. It took me around three matches to locate the prompt because I moved a mere inch away from the desk. First, as the title says, either head towards the factory or ***** into it. The reason why is because there’s a Biometric Scanner located in the factory. So why not ***** two birds with one stone? Once you leave the factory, the ship will be across from it and can easily be boarded. But if you’re coming in straight from the sky, just la...View the full article
Today is Tuesday, statistically the day of the week least rife with wacky hijinks, whimsical calamity, or even, dare I say, madcap antics. However, if you want to buck tradition, you could do worse than playing What the Car?, the upcoming absurdist physics game from What the Golf? and What the Bat? devs Triband. You can do it right now, actually. It’s just gotten a free demo on Steam, alongside a proper release date of September 5th 2024. Don’t do it if you’re actually driving, though. That’d be lunacy. We only promote the fun kind of lunacy here, like the type shown off in What the Car?’s trailer at the Triple-i initiative. Read more View the full article

The G502 has stellar ergonomics, sensitivity, and customizability for a reasonable price. | Image: Logitech I’ve tried many gaming mice over the years, but I always seem to come back to Logitech’s G502 Hero. I started with the wired version many moons ago, and it’s just as good as the wireless model if you don’t mind it staying tethered to your PC. It has the advantage of having zero latency (although the wireless model is close) and it’s the more economical choice, too. The wired model is even cheaper than usual over at Amazon right now, where it’s close to an all-time low at $35.99. That’s about $14 off its usual price of $49.99. Best Buy also has it for a dollar more at $36.99.
