Early signs from Mar-a-Lago, the Florida club and estate where Trump is building his new administration, suggest that when he moves back into the White House in January, bolstered by a thumping win and a democratic mandate, he will act with maximum force. Trump has already taken to social media to issue orders to Senate Republicans running in this week’s majority leader election to endorse recess appointments for his Cabinet nominees — and all three candidates quickly signaled they’re open to the idea. He’s showing he plans to rule a GOP monopoly on power — if Republicans win control of the House, which CNN has not yet projected — with unchallenged authority. He sees Congress as a rubber stamp rather than a separate, co-equal branch of government. The president-elect’s decisions herald a new administration infused by outsider populism rather than conventional power brokers. He, for example, ruled out Cabinet posts for Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley, who both had top foreign policy spots last time around. Trump’s best political bet might be to use all his capital on his first 100-days agenda. But his lifelong mantra is to get even with enemies. Musk at the heart of government: One moment last week showed how Trump’s second term is likely to be even more unorthodox than his first. Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX pioneer, joined the call between Trump and Zelensky the day after the election, a source with knowledge of the situation told CNN. A president-elect can put anyone he wants on a call. But since Musk has massive contracts with the US government, his mere presence alongside Trump — for whom he campaigned vigorously and promoted on X, which he owns — represents an apparent massive conflict of interest. Musk’s Starlink internet service is also critical for Ukraine’s troops battling Russia’s brutal invasion. Since Trump vowed to end the war and is close to Russian President Vladimir ******, it’s hard not to interpret Musk’s presence as potential leverage over Zelensky if he refuses to comply with Trump’s future demands. In a broader sense, the Trump-Musk friendship is a fascinating glimpse into the unorthodox inner circle the president-elect will bring to Washington. Their relationship offers Trump the affirmation of being feted by the world’s richest man. Musk gets inside access to the soon-to-be world’s most powerful man. And both are examples of outsiders who have bypassed normal routes to great influence through their vast wealth. Now they both wield great power that was once reserved for traditional political elites. Foreign leaders scramble: Presidents and prime ministers are ingratiating themselves with the president-elect with congratulatory calls and facing scrutiny at home over how they will deal with him. Recently, OnePlus 12 users started receiving the stable OxygenOS 15 update as well. Notably, the OnePlus 12R was unveiled alongside the flagship OnePlus 12 handset. OnePlus 12R Android 15-Based OxygenOS 15 Update OnePlus confirmed in a community post, that the stable Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 is rolling out for OnePlus 12R users in India, ********* Union, North America as well as other global regions. The 3.54GB over-the-air (OTA) update carries the software version CPH2585_15.0.0.200(EX01) for Indian users. The company says that the update is rolling out in batches, so if you have not yet received the same, you may get it soon. The update offers enhanced Camera and filter integration as well. New Floating Window gestures have been introduced with the OnePlus 12R OxygenOS 15 update alongside resizable Split View windows. To open a floating window, users can swipe down on a notification banner and swipe down again to enlarge it. Swiping up will close the window while swiping sideways will hide it. The Split View windows can be resized by dragging the divider or by tapping to expand the display area. However, SMIC has faced difficulties in ramping up production due to U.S. export controls barring it from purchasing equipment necessary for advanced chip manufacturing, while domestic alternatives are not yet ready for the effort. The feature was first reported in the WhatsApp for iOS beta app version 24.18.10.72 last month for users registered via Apple’s TestFlight program. With the latest version of WhatsApp, it is said to have been widely rolled out to all WhatsApp for iOS users. Furthermore, the instant messaging platform has also rolled out a new widget for the iPhone which brings new ways to sort out the chats from the iPhone’s home screen. Users can now pick chats from different categories such as Recents, Favourites, Pinned or Frequently Contacted. Beijing has long clashed with its Southeast ****** neighbours over territory in the South China Sea, which it claims sovereignty over in almost its entirety via a “nine-dash line” on its maps that cuts into the exclusive economic zones (EEZ) of several countries. ****** agreements with China in the strategic waterway have for years been sensitive, with some claimant states wary of entering into deals they ***** could be interpreted as legitimising Beijing’s vast claims. An arbitral tribunal in 2016 said the ******** claim, based on its old maps, has no basis under international law, a decision China refuses to recognise. A ****** statement issued at the weekend during Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Beijing mentioned the two countries had “reached important common understanding on ****** development in areas of overlapping claims”. NO LEGAL BASIS Indonesia’s foreign ministry has repeatedly claimed the country is a non-claimant state in the South China Sea and that it has no overlapping jurisdiction with China. On Monday, the ministry said its position was unchanged and the agreement would have no impact on its sovereign rights. “Indonesia reiterates its position that those (********) claims have no international legal basis,” it said. “The partnership does not impact sovereignty, sovereign rights or Indonesia’s jurisdiction in the North Natuna Sea.” China’s foreign ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Indonesia’s statement. China’s U-shaped line, based on its old maps, begins off central Vietnam and runs into waters off Indonesia’s Natuna islands, more than 1,000 km (620 miles) south of China’s Hainan island. It crosses into the EEZs of Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam, and is patrolled by an armada of ******** coast guard, which has been accused by its neighbours of aggression and of trying to disrupt energy and fisheries activities. China typically says its vessels are preventing incursions into its territory. Indonesia’s foreign ministry said the economic agreement on maritime issues with China included fisheries and fish conservation, and hoped to be a model to safeguard peace and friendship. Some Indonesian analysts, however, said signing such an agreement could have repercussions and be interpreted as a change in stance. “If we refer to the official ****** statement, that means we recognise overlapping claims,” said maritime analyst Aristyo Rizka Darmawan, adding it could compromise Indonesia’s sovereign rights to exploit resources in its EEZ. He said Indonesia may have signed the agreement with the intention of boosting economic relations. Gwent Police and 14 ***** crews were called to the scene on Frogmore Street, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, at about 20:35 GMT on Sunday. The affected building, at the rear of the Magic Cottage charity shop, remained alight on Monday morning but no injuries were reported. A number of nearby residents were evacuated, with Abergavenny Leisure Centre opened up to accommodate those affected and some still unable to return to their homes. Firefighters are using four water bowsers, two aerial ladder platforms, and a high volume pump (HVP) to tackle the flames. A cordon covering Frogmore Street, Regent Street, Princes Street and Baker Street is expected to remain in place for some time. Police urged residents to ensure all windows and doors were closed due to the smoke. Local resident Joe Pugh, said the “air was thick with smoke” in the town centre on Sunday night. “From what I could see it was widespread damage,” he told BBC Radio Wales Breakfast. “It was centred around a lovely old row of shops which are well known to residents. The reports were that it was spreading quite rapidly which was alarming, but thankfully no-one [was] hurt.” Mr Pugh said the affected building was best known for formerly being home to family-run business Richards of Abergavenny. “Frogmore Street is one of the main arteries through town for pedestrians and that building is one that was occupied for 90, 100 years by a family business… I think the whole town will feel the effects of this for some time.” Richard John, a ************* councillor for Mitchel Troy and Trellech ward, described the ***** as “horrendous” and “heartbreaking” as he thanked emergency services on X, formerly known as Twitter.
