Elsewhere, two-time All-*********** defender Bianca Jakobsson has been ruled out of St Kilda’s match against Brisbane and will be sidelined for five months. The Hawks confirmed on Tuesday star forward Bodey will be available for selection as they look to secure a maiden top-two finish when they meet Collingwood in the final round of the AFLW regular season. The former Lions premiership player had missed out on the previous two rounds with a toe complaint. “Greta’s recovered well from the intervention we put in place for her toe,” Hawks high-performance boss Aaron Kellett said. “She’s gone through a bit of a reloading plan, this week’s a big part of that, but at this stage she’ll be available for selection this week.” Defender Emily Everist (illness) and forward Kristy Stratton (ankle) face a fitness test for Hawthorn. Melbourne’s ***** was a last-minute exclusion before their loss to the Hawks after picking up a low-grade quad strain. Arguably one of the best goalkickers in the competition, the ninth-placed Demons will need *****’s talent against Collingwood – and need Essendon to lose – to avoid missing out on finals for the first time since 2019. Defender Gab Colvin (concussion) will not be available for selection after suffering another head knock during training, as well as Sinead Goldrick (concussion). Veteran ****** Paxy Paxman ******** on the sidelines indefinitely with a foot injury, while St Kilda vice-captain Jakobsson will have a long stint out of the game after sustaining a major hyper-extension to her left knee during their one-point loss to the Western Bulldogs. Meanwhile, North Melbourne captain Kearney is set to return in two weeks after suffering a high-grade hamstring strain in her right leg in late September. Bar draftee Georgia Stubs, defender Kearney is the only injured player on the Kangaroos list as they look to clinch their first AFLW minor premiership and flag. Stubs has not played a game this year after dislocating her ankle in a pre-season match simulation. Top-eight team Port Adelaide, on the verge of their first finals series in seventh, have not reported any new injuries while Sydney wait on scans to discover the extent of Giselle Davies’ ankle injury. Swans ruck Davies was taken out of their Brisbane match after injuring her ankle in the second quarter. No.1 ruck Ally Morphett (foot) has already been ruled out for the rest of the season. Essendon have avoided more injury woes following ruck Steph Wales’ anterior cruciate ligament injury. Georgia Clarke has been cleared for the ********’ must-win clash against Carlton after the key defender was limited to the bench by cramps in their round-nine draw with Richmond. Adelaide’s Najwa Allen (hamstring) is also among players available for selection this week.
