Verdansk Will Return To Call of Duty Warzone In 2025

What goes around comes around is often considered to be the reality of life, and it even holds true for Call of Duty Warzone. This is because the beloved map Verdansk, which was the first battleground in Warzone, is set to return in 2025.

Though fans are excited about the upcoming Area 99 map, which was also confirmed in the recent announcement, the return of Verdansk certainly takes the cake. Furthermore, the game gained the most notoriety during the pandemic when Verdansk was the default map, so bringing it back makes sense.

Call of Duty Warzone Is Going back to Its Roots

When the game was launched in 2020, it instantly became a fan favorite and managed to make its name in the much-saturated battle royale genre. At the time of the release, Verdansk was the first battleground for players, so nostalgic value is attached to it.

Over time, several changes were introduced to the map in an attempt to keep the content fresh. Eventually, Activision completely removed the map from the game, which was a much-needed move at that point. However, this hasn’t stopped fans from requesting to bring back the map, even if it’s only for a season.

Fortunately for fans, it seems Activision and developers have acted upon the wishes, as the map is confirmed to be returning in 2025. The exact timeline for its return hasn’t been revealed yet, but it is expected to come back during the spring of 2025.

In the meantime, players can enjoy Area 99, which is supposed to be smaller and compact compared to other maps of the game. Additionally, Area 99 is also the birthplace of Nuketown, a map that is synonymous with the COD franchise.

The charm of Verdansk isn’t limited to COD Warzone, as fans want to see the map in ****** Ops 6 as well. However, we have not yet received confirmation from Activision that this will be the case.

Regardless. ****** Ops 6 is building upto be one of the best COD games we have seen recently. From multiplayer to zombie mode, everything looks incredible. New features are also expected to make their mark, laying up a path for future COD games.

Even the combat mechanism is changing in the game with the introduction of the Omnimovement feature. Players will be able to do much more while in combat when it comes to their movement.
