UPDATE (Aug. 28, 2024): The missing 7-year-old boy whose disappearance on Tuesday sparked an AMBER Alert has been located unharmed, Rochester police announced early Wednesday morning.

The boy – Akelise Johnson – was found unharmed inside a home within the City of Rochester around midnight, said Lt. Nicholas Adams of the Rochester Police Department. Further details on the circumstances were not immediately released.

Last Seen Wearing: Dark-******** wig in a bob hairstyle, white t-shirt, long dark pants, and a gold chain piercing from her ear to nose.

Other: Police said that Celeta Johnson is the mother of Akelise Johnson.

The Rochester Police Department has issued a New York State AMBER Alert following the abduction of a child in Rochester.

The suspect was last seen traveling on North Water Street, possibly heading towards Trust Street. The child is believed to be in imminent danger of serious harm or ******.
