What were the wind gusts from Tuesday’s severe weather in northeast Wisconsin?

(WFRV) – Severe thunderstorms rolled through northeast Wisconsin Tuesday morning, and preliminary wind speed reports are coming in, with some nearly reaching 60 miles per hour.

The De Pere Mesonent Station recorded the highest wind speed from Tuesday’s event, 59 miles per hour. For comparison, a weak EF0 tornado begins with wind speeds of 65 miles per hour.

The storms also slammed Kewaunee and Oneida, with wind speeds reaching 56 miles per hour in both locations.

Greenville (54 miles per hour), Manitowoc (53 miles per hour), and Green Bay (51 miles per hour) all registered wind speeds in the lower 50s, while Wittman Field in Oshkosh saw wind speeds of 47 miles per hour.
